Police: Ky. man stalking television journalist sent explicit photos

A Kentucky man is accused of stalking and sending explicit images to a television journalist, Adams Township police said.

Jeremiah Daniel Gregory, 32, of Versailles, Ky., was charged Tuesday, Dec. 9, with misdemeanor stalking and two misdemeanor harassment counts following a Nov. 5 report.

Police said the journalist reported Gregory began sending her unwanted emails and messages when she was employed at a television station in Kentucky. The journalist filed complaints with local police in 2018 and 2019 while living there, police said.

Police said the unwanted contact persisted after the journalist changed her phone number and email address. Gregory has attempted to contact her by phone call, text message and her work and personal emails.

Police said Gregory also used the journalist as a reference for an addiction treatment center in Kentucky.

Police said between April 21 and Dec. 7, Gregory sent the journalist 56 emails on a variety of topics, including photos of his genitalia. He also sent photos of himself and of the journalist that he found online, police said.

Police contacted Gregory Nov. 10 to stop contacting the journalist, but he continued to contact the journalist and her previous employer.

Gregory’s preliminary arraignment and hearing are scheduled for 11 a.m. Jan. 21 before District Judge Amy Marcinkiewicz.
