Student places 2nd in regional automotive tech competition

A Karns City Area School District and Butler County Area Vocational-Technical School student recently won a scholarship after placing second at a regional automotive technology competition.
Ethan Sumney competed and placed second at the 2025 Automotive Tech Scholarship Competition at the Community College of Allegheny County West Hills Center, a release from the vo-tech said.
At the event, students competed through both hands-on skills and written exams. Six students in total were awarded $11,000 in scholarship funds by the Greater Pittsburgh Automotive Dealers Foundation.
