Butler County Community College’s five week, online winter session, with 19 general education courses, is now open for registration.

The session will be held from Dec. 15 to Jan. 20, 2026.

According to the college, guest students can apply for admission at bc3.edu/winter through Dec. 10. BC3 and guest students can register for courses through Dec. 16.

For a three-credit course, students who live in Butler County will pay $696 and students who live in other Pennsylvania counties will pay $1,005.

Courses include elementary statistics, health science, human growth and development, intermediate algebra, introduction to art, principles of management and multiple American literature courses.

The winter session has gained popularity in recent years, the college said. Its first winter session in 2017-18 had 64 students. Last year’s session had 207 students from 17 Pennsylvania counties and two other states.
