The College of Business at Slippery Rock University has a new name after a $5 million gift to the university from Elliott and Rhonda Haverlack.

The newly-renamed Haverlack College of Business will be officially dedicated with a special ceremony in April 2026, during which new signage will be unveiled.

According to the university, the donation is the single largest Slippery Rock University has received in its 136-year history.

Elliott Haverlack graduated from SRU in 1980 with a degree in environmental science and returned to the university in 2025 to pursue an MBA.
