Sorace

Virginia A. “Jill” Sorace, 77, of Middlesex Township, Valencia, passed away Sunday afternoon, Nov. 9, 2025, at UPMC Passavant-McCandless Hospital.

Born in Pittsburgh on March 13, 1948, she was the daughter of the late George and Anne Simon Hegerich.

Jill was a registered nurse in the emergency department of St. Margaret's Hospital in Pittsburgh for 43 years.

She was a member of LifePointe Alliance Church.

Jill was the best mom, bonus mom, sister, aunt, great-aunt and most kind, loving person. Everyone who got to know her loved her. Jill Sorace, you will be missed by everyone.

She was the beloved mother of Anna Esplen-Sorace, of Bridgeville, Domenic Sorace, of Beaver, Anthony Sorace, of Valencia, and Vince Sorace (Judy), of Murrysville; loving grandmother of Juliana, Ava, Marco and Santino; dear sister of Sharon Wharton (Donald), of Mars, Patty Fleeger (Terry), of Butler, Sue Skelley, of Valencia, and Michael Hergerich (Cindy), of Gibsonia; and aunt of nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Domenico Sorace.

SORACE — Friends of Virginia A. “Jill” Sorace, who died Sunday, Nov. 9, 2025, are invited to a memorial service at 10 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 15, at LifePointe Alliance Church, 997 Route 228, Mars, PA 16046, with the Rev. Paul Cope officiating.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to LifePointe Alliance Church.
