Residents of both Cherry and Winfield townships chose new tax collectors during the general election held Tuesday, Nov. 4.

In Cherry Township, Tiffany Grossman was selected as tax collector, and in Winfield Township, Maisie Miller was chosen, according to unofficial election results reported in Butler County Bureau of Elections summary report.

In Winfield Township, Maisie Miller will assume the position of tax collector at the start of 2026. With 820 votes, 70.3% of the vote, Miller defeated Marla Klabnik, who gathered 345 votes.

Miller will replace previous full-time tax collector Donna Nagle, who resigned from the post Jan. 31.

The Winfield Township race was a rematch of the primary election, when the two candidates ran against each other on the Republican ticket.

Although Miller defeated Klabnik in the Republican primary, both candidates received the same amount of votes from Democratic voters, necessitating a rarely-used “casting of lots” tiebreaking procedure to determine who would go on the Democratic ticket in November.

Klabnik would ultimately draw the low number in the casting of ballots to secure a spot in the November election, which she ultimately lost.

Republican newcomer Tiffany Grossman defeated current tax collector Angel Puca, a Democrat, in Cherry Township. Grossman gathered 217 votes, or 61% of the vote, according to unofficial election results reported in Butler County Bureau of Elections summary reports.

Puca received 139 votes, unofficial results showed.
