Candidates of the Medallion Ball met with Bishop Mark Eckman at a tea event Sept. 21 at the Pittsburgh Field Club.

Roseanne Wholey, publicity chairwoman for St. Lucy’s Auxiliary to the Blind, said 98 candidates will be presented at the Medallion Ball in November, having completed over 16,000 hours of volunteer service.

At the tea event, Eckman greeted the candidates and their mothers in a receiving line, then addressed them later, thanking them for their volunteer service and helping others in need.
