Driver hospitalized after rollover crash on Route 422 in Butler Township
One person was taken to a local hospital after a reported rollover crash on Route 422 in Butler Township on Sunday, Sept. 14.
The accident occurred in the westbound lane shortly after noon on Sunday. Footage found on social media shows that the vehicle was a black pickup truck which sustained severe damage and was spotted with its airbags deployed.
According to Mike Schmidt, chief of the Butler Township Volunteer Fire District, the driver was the only occupant of the truck, and no other vehicles were involved.
“There was a minor injury,” Schmidt said. “They were evaluated by EMS and taken to the hospital.”
Westbound traffic was reduced to one lane for a time as a result of the crash. In addition to the Butler Township VFD, responses came from the Butler VA Fire & Emergency Services, Butler City Bureau of Fire, Butler Ambulance Service, and Butler Township Police.
