Rebecca Crawford
Rebecca M. Crawford, 101, of Butler, passed away Thursday, Sept. 4, 2025, while under the care of Butler Memorial Hospital.
She was born on March 9, 1924, in Butler, to the late Frank and Sarah (Gaiser) Swartzlander.
Becky was a graduate of Butler High School, and went on to work for Montgomery Ward for almost 40 years. She was a member of North St. Christian Church, where she taught Sunday school, the Order of the Eastern Star Chapter No. 45 and White Shrine of Jerusalem. Becky was also past secretary and treasurer of the Acacia Club and Butler Women’s Club. She will be dearly missed by all who knew her.
Becky is survived by numerous nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews, and great-grandnieces and great-grandnephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Roy B. Crawford; and her three brothers, Wilbert, Russell and Alfred Swartzlander.
CRAWFORD — Friends of Rebecca M. Crawford, who died Thursday, Sept. 4, 2025, will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 9, 2025, at THOMPSON-MILLER FUNERAL HOME, 124 E. North St., Butler.
A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Sept. 10, at the funeral home with the Rev. Bob Edmundson officiating.
She will be laid to rest at Greenlawn Burial Estates.
