Workley

Barbara Workley, 74, of Prospect, passed away Sunday, Aug. 31, 2025.

She was born in Butler on May 11, 1951, to the late Aloysius and Wilma “Billie” (Barleman) McGowan.

Barbara received her associate degree from Butler County Community College in accounting. She loved flowers, gardening and visiting the beach. Barbara was an amazing seamstress, cook and baker. She loved spending time with her dog, Lilly, and was known for always smiling.

She was the mother of Brian Workley and Kristen (Workley) Barnes; sister of Donna (McGowan) Hensel; and grandmother of Dean Workley, and Lyncie and Jace Barnes.

Along with her parents, Barbara was preceded in death by her son, Michael Workley; and her sister, Mary Anne (McGowan) Keller.

WORKLEY — Arrangements for Barbara Workley, who died Sunday, Aug. 31, 2025, were made through SPENCER D. GEIBEL FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION SERVICES, 140 New Castle Road, Butler.

A celebration of life will be announced at a later date.
