Friends Helping Friends event set Oct. 22 to help nonprofits
Boscov’s has opened registration for its 2025 Friends Helping Friends event, which raises funds for nonprofits.
Shoppers donate $5 to a registered participating nonprofit organization. In return, store customers receive a Friends Helping Friends Shopping Pass to be used Oct. 22, the day of the event.
“We hope to partner with even more local nonprofits this year and surpass last year’s record-setting fundraising results, which helped 3,400 nonprofits raise $3.4 million in donations,” said Jim Boscov, chairman and CEO.
Boscov said all shopping pass donations stay with the selected nonprofits. To choose a nonprofit, shoppers must click the register button on its Friends Helping Friends site and enter their ZIP code for a list of nonprofits. Thirty-seven groups from the Butler County area are listed under the 16001 ZIP code.
“It’s our most aggressive promotion of the year and we do it to encourage donations to the organizations so critical to the communities we serve,” he added.
Participants also will be registered to win a $100 Boscov’s gift card.
