East Brady picks winners of beautification contest
The East Brady Area Development Corporation has decided the winners for its second annual beautification contest.
Winners in the residential category were Joanne and Dana LaPere, while Diana and Bruce Hufnagle won in the business/church/public property category. The winners were decided on July 29.
Honorable mentions were Sheila Markel, Peggy Wimer, James Zellefrow and Marcia and Rich Sweeney in the residential category; and Allegheny Hills Retirement Residence and East Brady First Presbyterian Church in the other category.
Nominations were made by area residents and judged on the basis of curb appeal, maintenance, planning, and creativity. The judges were Lee Ann Ishman, president of the Clarion County Garden Club; Loren Grayson, marketing and branding manager of Discover Clarion; and Joe Brooker, community development coordinator for the Clarion County Economic Development Corporation.
