Two Butler County students win scholarships to Grove City College

Grove City College has chosen Joshua Tustin of Slippery Rock and Abigail Vance of Butler as this year’s recipients of the Brandon Academic Scholarship, worth $9,100 per student per year. Both students will begin attending the college in the upcoming fall semester.

The scholarship is available only to Butler County residents attending Grove City College.

Tustin recently graduated from Slippery Rock Area High School, while Vance just graduated from Butler Senior High School.

In addition to Tustin and Vance, five other students will continue to benefit from the Brandon Scholarship — senior Brian McDonnell of Seven Fields, juniors Zoe Fischer of Butler and Gabrielle Hartle of Harrisville, and sophomores Reilly Martin of Bruin and Jordyn Vandevort of Butler.

In all, the Brandon Scholarship will pay out $63,700 in aid to Butler County students this year.
