Butler Township shares 2025 street paving order

Work on over 20 streets across Butler Township is expected to begin next week as the township shares its street paving order for 2025.

According to a release by the township, work will begin on the roads as soon as Wednesday, Aug. 6. The release said all of the roads on the list except Sylvan Street and Grove Avenue will be milled between Aug. 6 and 15.

Roads will be milled and subsequently paved in list order, with the exception of Fairground Hill Road. It will be paved first, as it serves as a point of access to Butler Area Intermediate and Senior High Schools and Butler County Area Vocational-Technical School.

The township opened its bids for this year’s road paving on April 21 and were awarded on May 19 to Wiest Asphalt & Paving. The township accepted Wiest’s $778,583 bid on the project alongside a $74,477 seal coat project from Russell Standard.
