New Chick-fil-A approved for Adams Township

ADAMS TWP — A new Chick-fil-A location is planned in the township.

The board of supervisors gave final approval for plans for a new location for the popular chicken sandwich chain during its meeting Monday night, July 28.

The restaurant would be located next door to Sheetz at the Adams Corners shopping center on Route 228 and is planned to also include a McDonald’s restaurant.

Currently, there is only one Chick-fil-A location in Butler County: on Route 228 in Cranberry Township.

Justin Thornton, of Colliers Engineering & Design, was on hand to present the final plans for the restaurant, which were first granted approval by the township’s planning commission in May.

“It's an approximately 5,500-square-foot restaurant,” Thornton said. “It has a dual drive-thru lane with two canopies, and it has all the current technology and gadgets that Chick-fil-A uses to keep that driving lane moving efficiently.”

According to the minutes of the May planning commission meeting, the restaurant would feature 24 seats.

Thornton assured township supervisors that Chick-fil-A would be a partner to the Adams Township community.

“Most of the operators are local to the area. They typically only have one, maybe two locations, so this one restaurant will be their sole source of income,” Thornton said.

An opening date for the Chick-fil-A has not been set yet.
