Heat advisory issued Tuesday for Butler County

The current stretch of hot weather will continue for another day, as the National Weather Service has issued a heat advisory for Tuesday, July 29, for Butler County and numerous other counties in Western Pennsylvania, eastern Ohio and West Virginia.

The advisory, which is in effect from noon to 8 p.m. Tuesday, warns of heat index values as high as 103 degrees.

The heat index is a measure of what the temperature feels like to the human body, taking both air temperature and humidity into account.

Forecasts call for temperatures as high as 92 degrees on Tuesday, with some fog in the early morning.
