Freeport’s Michael Hanz, Kason Barker make PSBCA all-state baseball team in Class 3A

Two Freeport baseball players were named to the 2025 Pennsylvania State Baseball Coaches Association All-State Class 3A team Thursday afternoon.
Infielder Michael Hanz was selected to the first team, and Kason Barker was named to the second team. They are the lone Butler County representatives to make all-state.
Hanz hit .646 this season with a .700 on-base percentage, three home runs, 19 extra-base hits and 25 RBIs. Barker hit .444, with a .507 OBP, two homers, 11 extra-base hits and 27 RBIs.
The teams were voted on by the state coaches association. Each classification had around 21 first team and 21 second team nominees.
