Cranberry Township man pleads guilty to improper contact with a child
A Cranberry Township man pleaded guilty Wednesday to a felony charge of endangering the welfare of a child filed by the township in 2022 for inappropriately touching an 8-year-old girl with baby wipes on multiple occasions.
Joshua D. Ice., 50, entered his plea in Common Pleas Court before Judge Joseph Kubit, who scheduled sentencing for July 10.
The agreed upon sentence is 60 months of probation including four months of house arrest.
According to police, a report was received in August from Butler County Child Advocacy Center that a girl had been touched inappropriately by Ice. The girl told police that Ice would touch her with baby wipes.
The incidents occurred frequently since the girl was 3 years old through June 2022, police said. The girl was injured in one of the incidents, police added.
Ice was initially charged with felony counts of involuntary deviate sexual intercourse of a person under 16, corruption of minors and aggravated indecent assault of a person under 13.
