Slippery Rock baseball’s season came to an end Friday following a 2-1 loss to Cathedral Prep in the District 10 Class 4A semifinals.

Sixth-seeded Mars’ season came to an end with a four-set loss to No. 5 South Fayette in the WPIAL Class 2A third-place consolation game.

The Planets lost by scores of 25-16, 25-17, 21-25 and 31-29.
