Longtime Clinton Township Supervisor Kathy Allen lost to challenger Gary McCall on the Republican ballot in the primary election Tuesday, May 20, according to unofficial election results reported in the Butler County Bureau of Elections summary reports.

Voters chose McCall by a nearly 2-to-1 margin, handing him 331 votes to Allen’s 187, unofficial results show. Allen has served on the township board of supervisors since 2014.

McCall proceeds to the November election, where no Democratic candidates are on the ballot.

Although her term will not be renewed, Allen’s current term does not expire until the end of 2025.
