Joseph Larnino

Larnino

Joseph P. Larnino, 69, of Midway, formerly of West Sunbury, passed away Wednesday, May 7, 2025.

He was born on Sept. 10, 1955, in McKees Rocks, a son of the late Vincent and Marie (Yahner) Larnino.

Joseph was a graduate of Sto-Rox High School. He had a lifelong passion for woodworking, often spending time in his garage crafting projects for friends and family. He took great pride in maintaining his many flower beds and gardens. He enjoyed hunting, though his passion was really for the outdoors. He loved camping and traveling to new places, most notably Niagara Falls, Washington, D.C., and Bedford, Pa.

Joseph was known for his generous spirit — always ready to lend a hand to anyone in need, especially his family and friends. He found great joy in attending sporting and musical events for his nieces. He had a deep love for animals and loved feeding the birds and squirrels, as well as building houses and feeders for them. He always had pets at home and was especially fond of Dobermans, and most recently had a golden doodle and a Yorkie.

He is survived by his niece (daughter), Meagan Scott, and her daughters, Haydenn and Savannah Scott; his sister, Susan Davis; his brother-in-law, Tim Minehart; his sister-in-law, Cindy (Frank) Puvak; his stepsister, Karen Kennedy, and his stepbrother, John McElhaney; his niece, Jaimie (Matthew) Wilson; two nephews, Dan (Aimee) Puvak and David Larnino; and great-nieces and great-nephews, Jennifer, Anthony, Drew and Nicole Larnino.

In addition to his parents, Joseph was preceded in death by his sister, Janice Larnino; and former wife, Betsy Larnino.
