Pierson

Nancy Marie Pierson, 93, of Cranberry Township, formerly of McCandless Township, passed away surrounded by family, Sunday, May 4, 2025.

Nancy was born April 15, 1932, in Pittsburgh, she was the daughter of the late Ralph and Minnie (Van Horn) Jellison.

She married Joseph R. Pierson, and they were together for 53 years before his passing in 2005.

Nancy retired from the Passavant Hospital admissions department in 1995. She enjoyed traveling with her husband, Joe, and visiting with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Nancy liked to get into mischief with her great-granddaughter, Alivia, with whom she had a special bond. She lived with her son, Eric, and his wife, Joan, since 2014. Nancy will be greatly missed by all.

She leaves behind to cherish her memory, her sons, Eric (Joan) Pierson and Mark (Lynn) Pierson; a daughter-in-law, Mary Ann Knott; her grandchildren, Ken (Heather), Janice, Preston, Shannon, Nikki, Bobby (Pam), Tom (Rhonda), Matt (Susan) and Jessie (Ray); great-grandchildren, Alivia, Hailey, Kenna, Tairynn, Kaiden, Brady, Hazie, Jaxon, Jaycik, Cameron, Sara, Stephen, Caitlyn, Carlee, Kara and Amy; and her sister, Pat Winslow.

In addition to her parents and husband, Nancy was preceded in death by her son, Carl; her sister, Elizabeth Watts; her brother, Robert Jellison McBride; and two great-grandchildren, Brantley and Taylor.
