He graduated from Butler High School and worked for R.W. McDonald and Sons in Butler, from the age of 16 until he retired in 1991. That was when Jim married his wife, Barbara Jo (Magdy), and relocated to Garden City, S.C. They then moved to Conway, S.C., in 1999.
Jim is survived by his wife, Barbara Jo Stanley; children, Paul Stanley and Jim (Carol) Stanley, Paul Lampo II (Lori), Dr. Nicole Lampo (Huss Fennell III); and his grandchildren, Brennan, Preston, Paige, Haisley and Paul John Lampo III (Jack). His last remaining sibling, Charles “Sonny” Stanley lives in Raleigh, N.C.
In addition to his parents, Jim was preceded in death by his sisters, Hilda and Evelyn.
He was a private man with great integrity who will leave a big hole in many hearts.
