Carol Jean Fry, 81, of Cabot, passed away Sunday, May 4, 2025, at Butler Memorial Hospital.

She was born Oct. 16, 1943, to the late Lewis and Augusta (Salpini) Doctor.

Carol was definitely the strength of her family, caring for many during their times of need. She often said her greatest gift was that of her children, and her favorite quote was “dynamite comes in small packages.” She was also a longtime member of Cabot Methodist Church. Carol enjoyed playing bingo with her sister, cooking, going on various outings with her siblings, as well as spending time with her loving family, especially her grandchildren.

Carol is survived by her daughter, Brandy (Larry) Oskin; her son, Robert Fry; her nine grandchildren, Shane Summerville, Allee Oskin, Kaelyn Oskin, Hunter Oskin, Gabrielle Oskin, Caleb Oskin, Isaac Oskin, Izabella Oskin and Kenleigh Fry; her brothers, Lewis Doctor Jr., George “Boots” (Carol) Doctor and Joseph Doctor; her sisters, Gloria (Raymond) Downing, Toni Herold, Julie (Jeff) Bummer and Terri Fratto; as well as by numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, Carol was preceded in death by her loving husband of 20 years, Charles “Pete” Fry, whom she married June 14, 1970, and who passed away March 14, 1991; her daughter, Terri Summerville; her brother, Gary Doctor; as well as her sisters, Shirley Fend and Marie (Fred) Honzo.

FRY — A visitation for Carol Jean Fry, who died Sunday, May 4, 2025, will be held from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, May 10, at THOMPSON-MILLER FUNERAL HOME, 124 E. North St., Butler.

A funeral service will be held directly after the visitation at 1 p.m. Saturday, May 10, at the funeral home, with Pastor David Janz, of First United Methodist Church, officiating.

Burial will take place at Sarverville Cemetery.
