Butler VA to host Whole Health month

The Abie Abraham VA Clinic in Center Township will begin serving patients in about a week.

The VA Butler Healthcare System is hosting a “Whole Health” expo on Thursday, April 24, in celebration of Whole Health Month.

The expo will run from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Abie Abraham VA Health Care Center at 353 N. Duffy Road, Center Township. It will feature various stations and demonstrations to walk the “Circle of Health,” a visual depiction of the “Whole Health” method of care.

Veterans will be given the opportunity to learn more about “Whole Health” offerings such as workshops, coaching, and complementary and integrative health services.

“Whole Health is about you as a whole person and what matters most to you, not just what’s the matter with you,” Karen Justi, Butler VA’s Whole Health program manager said. “You and your care team develop a plan based on your priorities for your health, such as moving more, sleeping better, or waking up with less pain.”

Resources available to veterans include an introduction to the program, coaching, courses and more. For more details, visit the expo or visit the Butler VA website.
