A man was arrested Saturday afternoon, March 15, when a group gathered for a protest at Butler’s Diamond Park called 911 after seeing him block traffic along Main Street.

Butler police said they took George Cedeno into custody at the event, after he was reported to be interrupting traffic. The arresting officer said in a police report that Cedeno made aggressive moves toward him and the demonstrators at Diamond Park.

The man was seen dancing in the street and dodging cars during the early afternoon while the Butler County Democratic Committee was holding an organized demonstration intended to protest potential cuts to the U.S. Department of Education by the Trump Administration.

Butler City police responded to the call and arrested the man near Diamond Park.
