Franklin opens registrations for art showcase
The Franklin on Ice Festival is accepting original art pieces for inclusion in its event Feb. 7 and 8 for the ninth annual Nature Art Showcase and Sale.
The showcase and sale is a free public art exhibition conducted inside the lobby of the Barrow-Civic Theatre in downtown Franklin, Pa. Pieces typically for sale include paintings, sculpture, metal fabrications, fabric arts, jewelry, wearable art, photography, pottery, drawings, wood carving and watercolors.
The showcase opens with a free public reception featuring the artists from 5 to 7 p.m. Feb. 7, and continues from 10 a.m. until 6 p.m. Feb. 8.
There are 75 artist slots for the event, but all artists must pre-register. Each artist can pay a $10 registration fee or volunteer for two hours for the event.
