Attention to safety needed at Big Butler Fair
We attended the Big Butler Fair to watch the truck/tractor pulls.
I’m concerned about the unsafe viewing conditions for patrons with disabilities. There is no ramp to access the grandstand, and the wooden steps are in need of repair. The railings are chipped and rough. The in-grandstand stair edges could use brightly colored anti-slip paint to aid fairgoers with visual impairments. Also, there are no grandstand hand railings.
These situations create a struggle to use the restroom facilities.
The Butler Fair is enjoyed by many people. It would be unfortunate if someone sustained an injury during a fun outing.
