More details released regarding fatal Slippery Rock accident
Additional details have been released regarding a June vehicle accident which claimed the life of a 21-year-old Turtle Creek man.
The accident occurred at about 3:20 p.m. on June 22. Kaden Broadus, a graduate of Seneca Valley High School, was the only passenger in the vehicle, a 2002 Toyota Sequoia driven by Ashanti Cole, 21, of Waynesburg.
According to a report recently released by Pennsylvania State Police, Cole was traveling east on Franklin Road in Slippery Rock Township when she lost control of the vehicle, which rolled over multiple times. Broadus, who was in the front seat of the vehicle and not wearing a seat belt, was ejected from the vehicle.
Broadus was pronounced dead at the scene.
Cole was able to emerge from the vehicle under her own power. An ambulance from the Slippery Rock Volunteer Fire Company transported Cole to Grove City Medical Center. Cole was wearing a seat belt at the time of the accident.
A vigil was held for Broadus on Saturday, June 29 at Zelienople Community Park.
