Tom Cruise attends Taylor Swift’s Eras Tour, skips daughter’s NYC graduation

Tom Cruise was spotted Saturday exchanging friendship bracelets with Taylor Swift fans at her second Eras Tour show in London.

The “Mission Impossible” star, 61, was seen partaking in the Swiftie tradition as he made his way to his VIP seat at Wembley Stadium, according to photos obtained by Us Weekly.

The sighting came a day after the movie star’s younger daughter, Suri, graduated from LaGuardia High School in New York — with her father reportedly nowhere to be seen.

He also missed his estranged daughter’s 18th birthday in April while filming a project in London, reported TMZ.

Cruise’s attendance at the London leg of The Eras Tour was hardly the only A-list sighting. The previous night, Swift and boyfriend Travis Kelce posed backstage with birthday boy Prince William and his two older kids.

Kelce’s big brother, Jason, and sister-in-law, Kylie, also joined the Super Bowl champ in the audience.

The “cardigan” singer’s second show was reportedly attended by Greta Gerwig, Hugh Grant, Liam Hemsworth, Mila Kunis and Ashton Kutcher, according to Us Weekly.

Swift announced last week at the 100th performance of her record-breaking tour — the first to ever gross over $1 billion — that it would officially end in December.

Ben Affleck

Ben Affleck opened up about wife Jennifer Lopez’s “bananas” level of celebrity as the A-listers’ struggling marriage takes center stage.

The Oscar winner, 51, got candid about the effects of the 53-year-old actress-singer’s intense fame while referring to her as “my wife” during his appearance on Kevin Hart’s talk show, “Hart to Heart.”

“People love her, and she really represents something important to people,” he said.

The couple, who wed in 2022, share five kids, three from Affleck’s marriage to Jennifer Garner and twins from Lopez’s marriage to singer Marc Anthony.

While Affleck said he doesn’t mind putting up with his wife’s celebrity himself, he doesn’t want his kids to have any part of it.

“You can take my picture at a club or a premiere, with my wife, I don’t give a [expletive]. Knock yourself out. I don’t notice you,” Affleck said. “But with my children, that’s a different thing.”

This week TMZ reported Lopez was vacationing in Italy without Affleck, further fueling speculation divorce is on the horizon.

Late last month, amid reports the couple were having issues and living apart, Lopez canceled her “This Is Me... Live” tour, with Live Nation attributing the decision to Lopez wanting to take time off to be with family and friends.

Earlier this month, Lopez and Affleck — who were engaged in the early 2000s before reconciling in 2021 — put their $60 million mansion on the market for around $65 million.

Jonathan Majors

Jonathan Majors received the Perseverance Award at the Hollywood Unlocked Impact Awards on Friday night, and took time to address his recent assault conviction, saying, “guilt and innocence often have little to do with the outcome.”

The actor, 34, immediately broke down in tears as he took the stage, following a short reel of his career highlights.

“I’m imperfect. I have shortcomings — I acknowledge them,” Majors said. “Perseverance means persistence in doing something despite difficulty or delay … and the God I serve has put me in a position where I’ve had to embody that word more than I wished or wanted.”

On Dec.18, 2023, he was found guilty of misdemeanor domestic violence offenses for attacking his ex-girlfriend, Grace Jabbari, and was promptly dropped by Marvel Studios and Disney a short while later.

In a split verdict, Majors was convicted of assault in the third degree and second-degree harassment for a March 25 altercation in the back of a private car driving through lower Manhattan.

During Friday’s awards event, he spoke about his experience with his criminal trial: “As a Black man in the criminal justice system, I felt anger, I felt sadness, hurt, surprise. When they snatched me up out of my apartment in handcuffs, I didn’t feel like all that. I didn’t feel like Jonathan Majors, Mr. Creed, Mr. Kang. … I felt like a little scared, weak boy.”

“Despite the support and evidence that was in my favor, I knew ... it was bad because of who I was and what I am,” Majors continued. “And this is what happens to Black people all too often. Guilt and innocence often have little to do with the outcome. That’s the harsh reality I learned. But I know Black men face this every day. It deeply impacts us, changes the way we navigate through the world.”

The ceremony, hosted by comedian Tiffany Haddish, also honored other notable figures including Cardi B, civil rights attorney Ben Crump and designer Christian Louboutin.

Majors, who is now set to star in the upcoming revenge thriller “Merciless,” directed by Martin Villeneuve, received a standing ovation at the conclusion of his speech.
