Robert Williamson Jr.
Robert Wayne Williamson Jr., 79, of Butler, passed away on Saturday, June 8, 2024.
Born on Nov. 29, 1944, in Northampton, Mass., he was the son of the late Robert Wayne Sr. and Norma (Barnes) Williamson.
Robert was a man of many skills who worked as a master tradesman and contractor for more than 50 years. He was an avid outdoorsman who loved to hunt, fish and target shoot, and he had recently become a member of Evans City Sportsman Club. He enjoyed coaching and watching sports, especially baseball and NASCAR. In past years, Robert was a world-class canoe racer, taking home medals in many championships. A talented craftsman and artist, he spent countless hours painting, drawing and woodworking. Above all, Robert was a family man who took great pride in being a father and grandfather.
Robert leaves behind to cherish his memory his wife, Kathleen (Wellner) Williamson; his five children, Sherry Lynn (Paul Jr.) Rankin, Alecia (Charles III) Norris, Corry Williamson (Carrie), Brant Williamson and Colin Williamson (Kara); his grandchildren, Charles IV and Nichole Norris, Kobie (Emma), Kaden, Keegan, Bella and Ava Rankin, Kaylee (Jon) Shingleton and Julian, and Everett Williamson; his great-grandchildren, Nicholas and Jordan Pengryn, Gabriella Keller, Chase and Harper Ernst and Nolan Shingleton; his brother, Bruce (Sue) Williamson; his sister, Linnette E. Barto; and several nieces and nephews.
