Sentence court

The following defendants were sentenced Thursday, May 23, in Butler County Common Pleas Court by Judge Joseph Kubit.

James A. Ganoe III, 33, of Rimersburg, was sentenced to serve 12 to 30 months in state prison and pay a $250 fine and restitution totaling $709 after pleading guilty to robbery, burglary and theft charges in two cases filed by state police following two incidents on May 30 in Petrolia and Parker Township and one case filed by Butler Township police following an Oct. 12, 2022, incident.

Tiffany Lee Lowers, 36, of North Washington, was sentenced to serve 24 months of probation after pleading guilty to defiant trespass and hindering apprehension charges filed by state police following a Dec. 14, 2022, incident in Marion Township and a Dec. 3, 2022, incident in Washington Township. She was not prosecuted on another count of hindering apprehension that police filed following a Dec. 20, 2022, incident in Petrolia.

Matthew R. Tolley, 38, of Lyndora, was sentenced to serve 12 months of probation and pay $300 in fines after pleading guilty to possession of a controlled substance filed by Butler Township police following a Sept. 11, 2021, incident and two summary traffic violations filed by state police following a July 31, 2021, incident in Butler.

Danielle L. Rearick, 41, of Mars, was sentenced to serve 12 months of probation and pay a $150 fine after pleading guilty to a charge of possession of a controlled substance filed by state police following a Dec. 13, 2022, incident in Penn Township.

Anthony B. Barnett, 63, of Hanover, York County, was sentenced to serve 60 days to 23 months and 15 days in prison, but was immediately paroled after pleading guilty to a retail theft charge filed by Cranberry Township police following an Aug. 30 incident.

Matthew G. Hamersley, 40, of Butler, was sentenced to serve 12 months of probation and pay a $250 fine and $80 in restitution after pleading guilty to a theft charge filed by Butler Township police following a Jan. 7, 2023, incident.

Ryan A. Miano, 32, of Butler, was sentenced to serve 12 months of probation and pay a $150 fine after pleading guilty to a disorderly conduct charge filed by Butler city police following a July 4, 2023, incident.
