3 Knoch students advance to state level after winning gold at vo-tech competition

Three Butler County Area Vocational-Technical School students in Knoch School District who won gold medals after competing in District SkillsUSA competitions will advance in the state level in the spring.

Oleena Antkowiak, a graphic design student, Faith Giza, a culinary arts student, and Hailey Liebler, a culinary arts student, will advance to the state competition in Hershey on April 3 to 5.

Carsen Traggiai, who studies air conditioning, will attend the state competition as a delegate.

Travis Hoover, a building construction student, earned a silver medal.

Other participating students included Shiane Chalkley, Amelia Dovey, Alora Eshenbaugh, Alexis Frye, Hunter Leslie and Bennett Shaw.
