Middlesex police investigating thefts from unlocked vehicles
A number of unlocked vehicles had items stolen from them on Thursday, Feb. 22, between the hours of midnight and 7 a.m., according to Middlesex Police Sgt. Randall Davison.
“We had three reported (break-ins),” Davison said. “Another one was broken into, but nothing was taken.”
The break-ins occurred around the border of Middlesex and Adams townships on Denny Road, according to police
Police said some of the items stolen from the unlocked vehicles included money, gift cards and guns.
Davison classified the break-ins as a “crime of opportunity,” and he cautioned residents to lock their vehicles.
“Lock your cars, and don’t leave guns in your car,” Davison said. “Don’t leave anything valuable in your car.”
The police do not have any suspects at this time.
