Donald Masyada
Donald S. Masyada, 86, of Cranberry Township, formerly of St. Marys, Pa., passed away on Sunday, Feb. 18, 2024, while under the care of UPMC Passavant Hospital, in McCandless Township.
Born Oct. 5, 1937, in Perth Amboy, N.J., he was the son of the late Stephen and Genevieve Martowicz Masyada.
Don was a faithful member of St. Ferdinand Catholic Church in Cranberry Township. He proudly served in the U.S. Army. Don was the owner and operator of TMA LLC for many years. He was known for his excellent work ethic and enjoyed traveling internationally during his years with C/G Group. He was an amazing storyteller and would offer help to anyone who needed it. Above all, Don will be lovingly remembered as a wonderful husband, father and grandfather.
He leaves behind to cherish his memory his children, James (Melissa) Masyada of Louisville, Ky., and Pamela (William) Pietrusinski of Dresden, N.Y.; his son-in-law, Brian Gossic of Crafton, Pa.; his grandchildren, Allison (Nicholas) Nonos, Mackenzie and Jackson Masyada, Genevieve and Teresa Pietrusinski and Abigail Gossic; his beloved dog, Spike; and many nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, Don was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 58 years, Alida Eucharia Travers Masyada, whom he married on Feb. 23, 1963, and who passed away on May 10, 2021; his daughter, Marie J. Gossic, who passed away on Oct. 30, 2023; and his brother, Frank Masyada.
MASYADA — The family of Donald S. Masyada, who died Sunday, Feb. 18, 2024, will receive friends from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at BOYLAN-GLENN-KILDOO FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION SERVICES, 130 Wisconsin Ave., Cranberry Township.
A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Friday at Divine Grace Parish, St. Ferdinand Catholic Church, 2535 Rochester Road, Cranberry Township, PA 16066.
He will be laid to rest beside his wife at Holy Savior Cemetery in Gibsonia.
If desired, memorial contributions may be made in his honor to Divine Grace Parish c/o St. Ferdinand Catholic Church.
