Carl S. Garing, 91, of Butler, passed away Friday, Feb. 16, 2024.

He was born on Oct. 8, 1932, in Chicora, son of the late Carl W. and Ruth Stanley Garing.

He enjoyed hunting and his horses and chickens, and he raised peacocks. Carl retired from Armco Steel mill. He was a member of Masonic Lodge 272 Butler Lodge F&AM.

Carl is survived by one son, Stanley Garing of East Butler; two daughters, Stacy (Mark) McGinley of Karns City and Cindy (Mike) Schneider of Butler; six grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Peggy Garing, who passed away two years ago from COVID-19; and a sister, Barb Mosholder.

The family thanks the nurses of Concordia at Cabot for all their kindness and help.

GARING — Per his wishes, no services will be held for Carl S. Garing, who died Friday, Feb. 16, 2024.
