Dakota Lynn Martinez, 33, of East Butler, passed away on Monday, Feb. 12, 2024.

She was born on Nov. 21, 1990, in Atlantic City, N.J. Dakota attended Butler Area High School and Butler County Community College.

She worked as a server and bartender most of her career, recently at Applebee’s. Dakota believed in being a hard worker and treating her co-workers and guests with kindness. Dakota loved unconditionally and was the center of her family. She was compassionate and thought everyone deserved to be shown acceptance and respect. Her memory will live on forever in those who loved her.

Dakota is survived by her mother, Dena Martinez (Bernie Fitzpatrick) of East Butler; her grandparents, Joseph and Ruth Lesnik; her son, Dekland Jude Coburn; her sister, Claudia (Tavis) Sadulski; a niece, Isabella Morales; and her brother, Timothy Gilliland, all of Butler.

She was preceded in death by her beloved grandmother, Linda Louise Vogel.

MARTINEZ — Funeral arrangements for Dakota Lynn Martinez, who died Monday, Feb. 12, 2024, will be held privately through SPENCER D. GEIBEL FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION SERVICES, 140 New Castle Road, Butler.
