Bonzo

Ronald Audrey Bonzo “Pete,” 83, of New Sewickley Township, passed away on Sunday, Feb. 11, 2024, in the comfort of his home, surrounded by his family.

Born June 6, 1940, in New Sewickley Township, Pete was the son of the late Audrey Duane Bonzo and Clara Belle (Cooper) Bonzo.

Pete was a lifelong resident of New Sewickley Township. He was a 1959 graduate of Freedom High School. He worked at J&L Steel for almost 30 years, followed by Cannon USA until he retired.

He and his wife, Patricia R. (Kinman) Bonzo, were blessed with 64 years of marriage. Their life together was a wonderful example of “true love.” Anyone who knew them would agree. Their love, commitment and dedication was one-of-a-kind. They shared a beautiful life together.

Pete enjoyed being outdoors. He loved washing his truck and car weekly, cutting grass, hunting and fishing. He was a member of the Conway Sportsmen’s Club for many years. Pete and his wife loved to travel and went on cruises all around the world. He was a hardworking and dedicated family man, who wanted nothing but the best for his wife and family. He will be remembered as an honest and kind gentleman who would help anyone with anything without asking for anything in return. Above all, he was a wonderful husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother and uncle, who will be dearly missed.

Pete leaves behind to cherish his memory his loving wife, Patricia; his children, Ronald Bonzo (Donna), Daniel Bonzo (Xiaoli) and Susan (Bonzo) Paslawski; his four grandchildren, Adam Bonzo (Autumn), Stephanie (Bonzo) Rensel (Colin), Brandan Bonzo and Patricia Bonzo; his six great-grandchildren, Faith, Cloey, Thea, Kaiya, Marshall and Haizel; his sister, Faye (Bonzo) Ridenour; his brother, Robert Bonzo; his sister-in-law, Elaine Bonzo; and his nieces and nephews, Valerie, Rodney, Chris, Todd, Lynn, Tammy, Tabby, Ty and Troy.

In addition to his parents, Pete was preceded in death by his son, Dennis John Bonzo, who passed in 2008; his brother, Terry Bonzo; and his sister-in-law, Patricia A. Bonzo.

BONZO — Friends of Ronald Audrey Bonzo “Pete,” who died Sunday, Feb. 11, 2024, will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday and from 11 a.m. to noon Friday, at BOYLAN FUNERAL HOME, 324 E. Grandview Ave., Zelienople, PA 16063.

A funeral service will follow at noon Friday, at the funeral home.

Pete will be laid to rest at St. John’s Burry’s Church Cemetery.
