Police reports

The following items have been collected from various police departments and district courts:

Butler

Jan. 23 — Yvonne C. Jackson, 18, of Butler, was charged with misdemeanor disorderly conduct. Police said she engaged in several fights in 2023.

Butler Twp

Jan. 22 — Chad W. Mitchell, 45, of Butler, was charged with misdemeanor theft. Police said he left Walmart with $259 worth of merchandise without paying for it.

Cranberry Twp

Jan. 25 — Kaden C.F. Rentz, 18, of Cranberry Township, was charged with misdemeanor theft. Police said he fraudulently discounted merchandise on several purchases for a combined loss of $1,727.

Evans City-Seven Fields

Jan. 26 — Thomas Unsworth, 40, of Rochester, was charged with felony theft. Police said he left Ace Hardware with an electric tool set without paying for it.

State police, Butler

Jan. 29 — Christine N. Leyland, 39, of Butler, was charged with misdemeanor bad checks. Police said she wrote a check with insufficient funds.

Jan. 23 — Randy B. Stephenson, 62, of Butler, was charged with misdemeanors DUI and use and possession of drug paraphernalia after police stopped him Dec. 30, 2023, on Campbell Street, Butler. Police said field sobriety tests showed he was impaired, and a later blood test showed traces of marijuana, cocaine and buprenorphine in his system. A glass smoking pipe was also found in his vehicle, police said.

Jan. 23 — James T. Matuke III, 35, of Butler, was charged with four counts of drug possession. Police said he was found with a glass pipe, suspected crack cocaine residue and a THC vape.

Jan. 23 — Andrew J. Loeffler, 37, of Butler, was charged with misdemeanors DUI and drug possession after police stopped him Jan. 8 on South Bluff Street, Butler. Police said field sobriety tests showed he was impaired, and he was found in possession of syringes.

State police, Kittanning

Jan. 24 — Justin L. Tresco, 43, of Leechburg, was charged with three counts of misdemeanor bad checks. Police said he wrote several checks to a business with insufficient funds.
