Delores I. Long, 81, of Renfrew, passed away Thursday morning, Jan. 18, 2024, at Butler Memorial Hospital.

She was born Jan. 1, 1943, in Butler, a daughter of the late John S. Pawlowicz Sr. and Mary (Kalanich) Pawlowicz.

Delores was a graduate of Butler High School and also Robert Morris College, with a degree in business. She had worked at Wingert Trucking and also Marmon Keystone.

She was a member of All Saints Parish, St. Conrad Roman Catholic Church, the MBSA and the Monday Nighters bowling leagues, also the Meridian Vets Club ladies auxiliary, where she enjoyed playing crazy eights. She was an avid bingo player, enjoyed trips to the casino and loved her Labrador retrievers, Bailey being her favorite.

Surviving are her husband, William R. Long Jr., whom she married June 5, 1965; one daughter, Alicia Dufford; one grandson, Will Dufford; one brother, Dr. John S. Pawlowicz Jr.; two sisters, Marilyn Fazzino and Joyce (James) Keefer; and numerous nieces and nephews.

LONG — Friends of Delores I. Long, who died Thursday, Jan. 18, 2024, will be received from 5 to 8 p.m. Monday at GEIBEL FUNERAL HOME, 201 E. Cunningham St., Butler. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Tuesday at St. Conrad Roman Catholic Church, 125 Buttercup Road, Meridian. Entombment will be in the Chapel of Devotion Mausoleum of Butler County Memorial Park.

In lieu of flowers, donations are requested to the Meridian Vets Club, 125 Meridian Veterans Club Road, Butler, PA 16001.
