Laura Elizabeth Johnson, 34, of Cabot, passed away Wednesday, Jan. 17, 2024, at Allegheny General Hospital.

She was born Oct. 17, 1989, in Butler, the daughter of Paul and Connie (Thompson) Sweeney of Butler.

Laura and her family attended Riverside Community Church in Oakmont. She had worked at the Veterans Affairs Medical Center in Aspinwall. Laura was a strong, independent, loving and faithful woman. She was one of the most caring people one could ever meet. She was dedicated to whatever she did — work, travel or planning the future. She had achieved goal after goal in her life. Laura is now making the trip of her lifetime, home to our heavenly Father. At her death, her lifelong final plans were fulfilled. She now has what we all pray and dream to achieve someday. Laura was an organ donor to someone in need; her final gift was her final deed.

Surviving are her parents; her husband of eight years, Todd Johnson II of Cabot; her daughter, Elizabeth “Ellie” Johnson; her sister, Jill (Raymond “Sonny”) Fowler of Prospect; grandmothers, Darlene Thompson and Anna Sweeney; numerous nieces and nephews; her in-laws, Todd Johnson Sr. and Becky Johnson; and four brothers-in-law; and two sisters-in-law.

JOHNSON — Friends of Laura Elizabeth Johnson, who died Wednesday, Jan. 17, 2024, will be received from 1 to 3 p.m. and 5 p.m. until the time of service at 7 p.m. Sunday at YOUNG FUNERAL HOME, 127 W. Jefferson St., Butler. Pastor Gavin Hassell to officiate.

Burial will be private.
