Daniel Ford

Ford

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Daniel J. Ford, 66, of Butler, on Wednesday, Jan. 17, 2024. He departed peacefully, surrounded by his loved ones.

Dan’s life was a testament to the love he had for his family. He was an amazing father and husband. His easygoing nature and kindness touched all who knew him.

Dan graduated from Butler High School in 1975. He worked for ServiStar Corporation for over 20 years and then Stetson Building Products in Iowa, which he retired from five years ago.

From an early age he had a love of music, and played the drums with many different bands in the Butler area. He loved books and traveling. There wasn’t a crossword puzzle he couldn’t complete.

He is survived by his wife, Jody, whom he adored during 39 years of marriage; and his children, Courtney of Miami Beach, Jonathan of Butler, and Taylor (Ashley) and Tyler of Cranberry. He leaves behind two brothers, Terry Ford (Kelly) of Butler and Dave Ford (Dottie) of Maryland; and a sister, Kathy Ford of Key West.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Frank and Marie Ford; and a brother, Mike of Butler.

FORD — Please join us to honor a man whose legacy of love and dedication to his family will live on in our hearts forever. The celebration of life for Daniel J. Ford, who died Wednesday, Jan. 17, 2024, will take place from 5 to 7 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 20, 2024, at the Brick House on Main Street, Butler.
