Parks and recreation launches snow art for pool passes contest
Creations children make in the snow like snow angels and snow people are not long for this world, but their snow art could have good ramifications this summer.
Butler County Parks and Recreation is having a snow creation contest where the creators of snow art chosen by administrators of the department will receive 2024 memberships to Alameda Waterpark.
Jacob Bartholic, program manager of the parks and rec department, said the department has recently hosted a pumpkin-carving contest and a Christmas tree decorating contest to get people involved in outdoor activity.
“It's one of those family things we are putting on, trying to get more families to help the community and visit the water park,” Bartholic said.
Bartholic said parks and rec staff, including members of the park advisory board, will choose the winners of the contest after its March 1 deadline.
Pictures of snow art can be emailed to the department prior to the deadline at AlamedaPark@co.butler.pa.us.
