Henry Scheibel, 83, of Renfrew, passed away on Monday, Jan. 15, 2024, while under the care of Butler Memorial Hospital.

Born Feb. 1, 1940, he was the son of the late Henry Joseph Scheibel and Agnes Brenckle Scheibel.

Henry enjoyed working on the farm, traveling, yearly trips to Florida for the winter, coffee with friends, and spending time with his family. He will be dearly missed and fondly remembered.

He leaves behind to cherish his memory his wife of 58 years, Esther White Scheibel; his children, Brooke Gill (Jim), Joellyn Gutmann (Eric) and Alyson Wingerson (Joe); his grandchildren, Colten Gill (Louis), Cara Morgan (Matt), Evan Gill, Jonathan Morgan (Cassidy), Lauren Gill (Doug), Kathryn Wingerson and Skylar Wingerson; his sister, Mary Freeman (Bruce); nieces, Susan Burriss (Tim) and Jennifer Perkovich; as well as four great-nieces and great-nephews, Daniel, Bradley, Paulina and Jensen; and a brother-in-law, Robert White Jr. (Stanlee).

In addition to his parents, Henry was preceded in death by his sister, Agnes Udit, and nephew, Paul Perkovich.

SCHEIBEL — Friends of Henry Scheibel, who died Monday, Jan. 15, 2024, will be received from 1 p.m. until the time of the blessing service at 3 p.m. Thursday at BOYLAN FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION CENTER OF CONNOQUENESSING TOWNSHIP, 856 Evans City Road, Renfrew.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial donations be made in Henry’s honor to BHS Palliative Care, 1 Hospital Way, Butler, PA 16001.
