Carol Jean “Jeanie” Passon, of Colorado Springs, Colo., passed away Tuesday, Jan. 2, 2024.

She was born Carol Jean Campbell, on Jan. 25, 1948, to Frank and Stella Campbell in Butler.

Carol went to Butler Area Senior High School, and graduated in 1965. Carol served as a finance specialist in the U.S. Air Force. She went on to earn an associate degree in accounting at Tulsa Community College in Tulsa, Okla., and worked as an accountant in various industries throughout her career.

Carol is survived by her husband of 50 years, Steven; her children, Susan (Tom) Passon-Alexander and Shane (Stefany) Passon; as well as her four grandchildren, Andrew, Abigail, Austin and Emily. Surviving siblings include brother, Ray, and sisters, Stella “Louise,” Janet, Betsy, Cindy and Caroline.

Carol was preceded in death by her parents, and brother, Clyde.

A funeral service will be held in their honor at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 20, 2024, at Ascension Lutheran Church, Colorado Springs, Colo.
