Critchlow

Carmella Jane Critchlow, 87, of Butler, passed away at her residence on Sunday, Jan. 14, 2024.

She was born on July 21, 1936, to the late Vincent James Bonetti and the late Carmella “Minnie” (Diana) Bonetti.

Carmella was a member of First United Methodist Church in Butler and also was a member of the Red Hat Society. She enjoyed doing water aerobics at the YMCA, loved to dance and was a clothing model in her earlier years. Carmella was a passionate baker and reader and took pleasure in crocheting and sewing. More than anything, she cherished spending time with her family.

She is survived by her husband, Robert H. Critchlow Sr., whom she married on June 2, 1956; one son, Robert Critchlow Jr. of Williamston, S.C.; four daughters, Valerie Balsiger (Tom) of Butler, Tara “Tammy” Allman (Bob) of Butler, Robin (Ron) Wolfe of Renfrew and Margie (Chuck) Becker of Renfrew; 11 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; one brother, James “Jimmy” (Margie) Bonetti of Boyers; and numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, Carmella was preceded in death by nine brothers, Joseph (infant brother), Frank, Andrew, Joseph, Guy, Anthony, Eugene, Furrie and Albert Bonetti; one sister, Virginia Hockenberry; and her stepmother, Antoinette Bonetti.

CRITCHLOW — Family and friends of Carmella Jane Critchlow, who died Sunday, Jan. 14, 2024, will be received from 10:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Friday at THOMPSON-MILLER FUNERAL HOME, 124 E. North St., Butler. A funeral service will immediately follow the visitation at 1:30 p.m., with Pastor David Janz, of First United Methodist Church, officiating.

Burial will follow at Greenlawn Burial Estates.
