Bonnie C. Weaver, 83, of Butler, passed away surrounded by her family on Saturday, Jan. 13, 2024, at her residence.

She was born Feb. 29, 1940, in Butler, and was the daughter of the late Richard McCall and the late Esther (Fleeger) Patton. She had worked as a certified nurse’s aide at Sherwood Oaks and St. Barnabas and took care of her son for the last nine years. She was a member of St. Anthony Orthodox Church, where in early years she taught Sunday school and sang in the choir.

Bonnie enjoyed doing crosswords, gardening and spending time with her grandchildren.

Surviving are her children, Gregory, Shelley, Jason and Yvonne Michaels; grandchildren, Christopher, Taryn, Madison, Lauren, John, Kian and Eric; great-grandchildren, Nella, Riah and Levi; sister, Sheri (James) Nixon; brothers, Colin (Cindy) Patton and Jeffrey (Shirley) Patton; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, James Weaver; a son, Jeffrey James Michaels; a brother, Richard McCall; and an infant sister, Patty McCall.

WEAVER — A private service and burial will be held for Bonnie C. Weaver, who died Saturday, Jan. 13, 2024.

Arrangements are under the direction of YOUNG FUNERAL HOME, 127 W. Jefferson St., Butler.
