Robert “Bob” P. Lane, 80, of Butler, passed away on Tuesday, Jan. 9, 2024.

He was born in California, Pa., on Dec. 7, 1943, to the late Daniel and Pauline (Zembower) Lane.

Bob was an avid restorer of classic cars and he enjoyed watching car racing. He was known for his kindness, intelligence and, above all else, was a very devoted father and grandfather.

Bob was the beloved husband of Ellie (Bowsher) Lane, and they were married for 58 years; father of Suzanne (Chad) Adams and Brett (Regina) Lane; grandfather of Daniel Lane, Maya Adams, Anya Adams, Miles Adams and Anthony (Karley) Simms; and great-grandfather of Elizabeth “Lily” Simms.

He was preceded in death by his sisters, Ruth (Lane) Conlin and Shirley (Lane) Lentz.
