Daniel Earlsey Buck Quick died on Thursday, Jan. 11, 2024, at Butler Memorial Hospital, after a brief illness.

Born July 14, 1941, Daniel lived the majority of his life in New Jersey, but spent the last 15 years near Saxonburg, most recently in the loving care of Concordia Lutheran Ministries. Daniel was a devoted Christian and a proud alumnus of Princeton University and the Taft School (Watertown, Conn.). He spent his professional career with Sears, Roebuck & Co. In his retirement years, Daniel enjoyed international travel, symphony concerts and time with his family.

He is survived by his sons, Scott (Colleen) Quick of Hamilton, N.J., and Stephen (Lisa) Quick of New Providence, N.J.; a daughter, Katharine Mastrantonio of Hackettstown, N.J.; stepdaughters, Susan (Jeffrey) Downes of Newark, Del., and Sandra Jerich of Saxonburg; nine grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

He now joins his beloved wife Elaine in the arms of his Heavenly Father.

QUICK — There will be no visitation or services for Daniel Earlsey Buck Quick, who died Thursday, Jan. 11, 2024. Interment will be private.
