Peter D. “Pete” Best, 62, of Eldorado, Parker, Pa., passed away Friday morning, Jan. 5, 2024, at his residence of natural causes.

Born in Butler on March 23, 1961, he was the son of the late Chester “Pete” and Twila Pennington Best.

On July 21, 2001, he married the former Michelle R. Perri, who survives.

Pete was employed as a roofing expert working in local areas as well as the Virgin Islands much of his adult life. He also became an inspector for Olsen Engineering of Butler and Gannett-Fleming of Pittsburgh until his health required his retirement.

He was affiliated with Robinson Memorial Chapel of Bennertown (near Parker) for many years, as well as being a social member of Paul W. Wood VFW Post 7840.

Pete was an avid hunter and enjoyed fishing; boating was another hobby. He was a well-known and avid Steelers fan.

In addition to his wife, Michelle, he is survived by his daughter, Hanna Best, at home; a brother, Daniel (Tina) Best of Eldorado; a sister, Carey Best of Parker; as well as number of nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Tina.

BEST — Friends of Peter D. “Pete” Best, who died Friday, Jan. 5, 2024, may call from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at H. JACK BUZARD FUNERAL HOME, 201 So. Washington St., Eau Claire, where funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday.
